Biography
I started competing at the age of 14 years old. I began using the ram
fanning method because it was the easiest and safest way to shoot.
However, I quickly switched to slap cocking as my method of choice.

My entire family started shooting, including my mom and both younger
sisters, and we were all being trained by dad on two holsters and one
gun. In 1970, at age 16, I won my first major title: "The Nevada State
Championships." The prize was a solid silver buckle with a twenty
dollar uncirculated gold piece in the center and $150.00 cash. That
was the beginning of the family's domination of the sport of fastdraw.
Our family has won
more shoots than any other family in the history of the sport.

I've won the World's Championship title (5) times and have had the
honor of co-holding the title with both of my sisters at different
times. I won the Nationals in 1996 with my mother and came in 2nd in
the "Canadian Open" only to have my father come in first place. My
wife Jennifer competed for a couple of years winning the "Western
States Championships" and also holding the fastest single shot world's
record of .30 hundredths of a second. While my mother, both sisters
and wife have retired, my father won a world's title in 2001, and we
both still compete successfully.

I still hold the "Fastest Gun Alive" title that I won at Virginia
City, Nevada. I averaged 28.7 hundredths of a second per shot of the
37 shots it took me to win the match. Also, I've been competing in
cowboy action shooting for 6 years, staying in the top 5% of finalists
in the last (6) cowboy World's Championships.
"None of my fast draw guns have any sites."
